Whether you own a property in North Devon to stay in yourself or you make it available for holiday accommodation, HelpsatHand provides a comprehensive range of holiday home management services designed to give you confidence that your property is being properly looked after when you can't be there.
During an initial discussion you can decide on the selection of services that you would like to take advantage of, but these can be amended at any time should new circumstances arise. Services include:
Keyholding, ensuring access all year round to guests, visitors and ensuring emergencies can be dealt with.
Introducing prospective housekeepers to owners to carry out changeover cleaning, including washing and ironing bed linen and "meet and greet" where required.
Being present at the property to meet tradespeople or meter readers and to accept deliveries.
Redirecting post and taking meter or oil and gas tank readings on behalf of owners.
Paying some or all utility bills as they arrive, to be re-imbursed at the end of the month.
Carrying out one-off or regular inspections either externally only, or internally and externally. Ensuring the property is secure, checking for leaks, ensuring items haven't been left on unintentionally, watering plants, forwarding post, checking the heating and adjusting it as required. Feedback reports provided by phone, text, email or letter, including photos if required.
Providing a handyman service, such as replacing tap washers and light bulbs, erecting curtain track, putting up shelves and assembling flat-pack furniture, replacing wall tiles and grouting, defrosting freezers, mending toilet seats, cleaning paths, patios and balconies, clearing gutters etc.
Arranging for quotes from trusted local tradespeople to carry out repairs or improvements, supervising the work and inspecting it following completion.
Carrying out quality control checks on changeover cleaning on behalf of owners, including providing a feedback report.
Arranging and supervising regular services such as window cleaning, garden maintenance, swimming pool and hot tub cleaning.
Through the HelpsatHand Holiday Equipment Hire Service, supplying cots, hire chairs, buggies, stair gates, z beds etc. to the property. See dedicated website pages.
Arranging the weekly hire of bed linen to owners or guests, where they are not supplied as part of the let.
Arranging for laundry to be collected, washed and ironed at the end of a stay.
Providing Welcome Packs for guests, contents to be agreed with the property owner.
Creating and maintaining a property inventory.
Creating Information Packs for guests and ensuring they are up-to-date.
Organising additional services for guests or owners during their stay, eg. pet sitting, fishing or sightseeing trips, trips to Lundy Island, tours, transport, hire of surf equipment, arranging for catering at the holiday property to save cooking, babysitting, restaurant bookings etc. etc.
Arranging for the property to be let over the winter and to be brought up to a lettable standard at the end of a tenancy.
Charges for the services described above are based on hourly rates set out in the Service Costs page of the website. Alternatively if you have a specific list of tasks you would like carried out a fixed price can be agreed per month, six months or year.
